Hk Journal of Legal Studies

The Hong Kong Law Journal was founded in 1971 and is the leading English-language journal on common law in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and mainland law. It is a peer-reviewed journal that provides current, academic, authoritative and critical analysis of current legal issues in Hong Kong and the PRC. In addition, the journal accepts and publishes comparative, jurisprudential, international and interdisciplinary documents relevant to the study of law. The best scientific papers offer an insightful condensation of years – or probably centuries – of accumulated learning and the author`s own reflections on how the law should or is likely to evolve. This highly commendable volume of the Hong Kong Journal of Legal Studies is part of this academic tradition. As a former Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Hong Kong, lawyers and law students should never be satisfied with what the law is, but continue to ask themselves what the law should be. In this sense, the efforts of the students of this journal are to be commended.
