In order to pass the exam awarded by RIBA and ARB Part 3, which is required to become a legally registered architect, students must gain 2 years of professional experience. As is typical, this is not academic credit, but an essential part of the overall learning experience required to enter the profession. It is a paid job and can be practiced anywhere in the world. The first three years of the course will give you a foundation in terms of knowledge and skills in architecture and will lead to the BSc Architecture Award (awarded to RIBA and ARB Part 1).
