Two-year reporting period: July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2022 – 24-hour CLE approved in Utah to include two hours of legal ethics and one hour of professionalism and courtesy.

Annual Reporting Period: July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022 – 12 hours of CLE approved in Utah to include one hour of legal ethics and one hour of professionalism and courtesy. According to the Utah State Bar Rules – Effective May 1, 2021, the new compliance cycle follows a fiscal year period (1. July to June 30), in which a licensed active status attorney in Utah must complete at least 12 hours of accredited CLE, including 1 hour of legal ethics and 1 hour of professionalism and courtesy. At least 6 hours must be Live CLE, which can include any combination of the following: Personal CLE, Remote Group CLE (CLE sponsored or co-sponsored by the Bar Association presented from a location in Utah via a live audio-visual presentation to another location in Utah where the attorney is present) or verified E-CLE, where CLE is presented via a computer program or on the Internet, if the lawyer actively participates in the CLA is verified by answering scenarios during the CLE or by answering knowledge-based questions during or after the CLE presentation. The S.J. Quinney College of Law offers continuing legal education credit from the Utah State Bar to attorneys attending our live events (according to Utah Rule 14-408, “one verified E-CLE hour means 60 minutes of actual viewing time”) and counts towards the live CLE.
